The Lakes at Pelican Point opened for play on November 1, 2002. Built by Holmes and Company of Orlando, Florida, one of the country's most respected golf course builders. The par 71 golf course measures a little over 6,500 yards from its championship tees. Doglegs shaped by trees and mounds, this course requires patience along with accuracy off the tee. The undulated Champions Bermuda greens provide for a challenging and superb putting surface. Challenging recovery shots and bump and runs are common for the wayward iron shot. Natural areas with native wildlife and wildflowers are the backdrop for the back nine holes.
